Finding relevant jobs, importing data, and helping students show employers what they can do are everyday parts of career services work. This month’s 12twenty updates help your team spend less time sourcing opportunities and preparing spreadsheets, while giving students and alumni a clearer way to showcase their skills.
Here’s what’s new in October: Job Amp, the Data Upload Tool, and the upcoming Candidate Skills beta.
Career services teams have told us the same thing again and again: students deserve job and internship postings they can trust. That means real openings at real companies, not reposted stale opportunities.
That's why we've upgraded the 12twenty job feed with Job Amp. With Job Amp you now have access to over 4M high quality opportunities from employer career sites refreshed every 30 minutes.
This new feature helps career centers give students and alumni more of the relevant, current jobs and internships they want, delivered directly into 12twenty without creating more work for the team.
For your team, this means less time reviewing listings and more time spent working with students to prepare for the opportunities you and your Career Center have provided for them.
The upgraded Job Feed is available now.
Importing data into a system can be a frustrating process. First, you have to reformat your spreadsheet, upload it, identify errors, make corrections, and upload it again. Sometimes this takes several rounds.
Our improved Data Upload Tool makes the process simpler and more intuitive by letting you start with your existing file of any file type and work through the import directly in 12twenty.
Get step-by-step guidance to match spreadsheet columns to fields in 12twenty, map values to your school’s existing options, and review and correct information before uploading, with AI-powered suggestions along the way.
For example, if your spreadsheet uses different industry names than those configured in 12twenty, the tool helps match them automatically rather than requiring you to correct each value manually.
That means less time preparing spreadsheets and troubleshooting errors, and a more straightforward way to bring accurate data into 12twenty.
A student's major doesn't always tell the whole story of what they're capable of. Skills gained through internships, projects, and experiences outside the classroom may be just as valuable to employers.
Candidate Skills, coming to 12twenty in beta at the end of October, gives students and alumni a dedicated place on their profiles to showcase those abilities.
Students and alumni can select from a curated library of approximately 650 skills, with suggestions tailored to their academic programs. They can also search the full library to add skills gained outside their major.
By using a standardized library, skills are captured consistently across student profiles, without requiring career centers to build or maintain their own skills lists. Students will also receive a profile completion prompt encouraging them to add their skills.
This creates a foundation for future skills-based candidate search, helping employers eventually discover students based on what they can do, not just what they study.
Candidate Skills is expected to be available in beta at the end of October 2026. Current customers interested in participating should contact their Customer Success Manager.
