Fall recruiting is underway, bringing the familiar combination of increased student demand, employer activity, and full advising calendars. At the same time, career services teams are still responsible for the reporting, analysis, and institutional requests that continue regardless of how busy the recruiting season becomes.
This month, two 12twenty updates address different sides of that challenge. Resume Studio helps students do more to prepare before meeting with an adviser, while Data Studio helps career services teams spend less time turning the data they already have into useful answers.
During fall recruiting, students often need to improve a resume quickly, and advisers simply cannot review every document before an application deadline.
Resume Studio is now live in 12twenty, giving students another way to strengthen their resumes before meeting with an adviser or applying for a position. Students receive AI-guided, section-by-section feedback and recommendations based on a specific job description, while remaining in control of every change. Resume Studio prompts students for the specifics, like the numbers, the outcomes, and scope rather than filling them in on their behalf.
For career centers, the value is not simply another resume tool. When students can work through first-round improvements independently, they arrive at advising appointments with a stronger foundation. Advisers can then spend more of the conversation on positioning, strategy, and helping students make thoughtful decisions about particular opportunities.

Fall recruiting may be in full swing, but reporting requests do not stop. A dean may want outcomes by industry, leadership may ask for an update on student engagement, or the career center may need salary data for an outcomes report.
The information may already be in 12twenty, yet answering these questions can still require finding the right report, exporting data, and rebuilding the analysis in Excel.
Data Studio, now in beta, is designed to reduce that work. It brings reports, dashboards, and folders into one workspace where teams can find reports and build tables, pivot tables, and charts. Pivot tables support calculations including median and 25th and 75th percentiles, allowing teams to complete more outcome analyses without first exporting the data.
With Data Studio, staff can also adjust filters to explore a question without changing the saved report their colleagues rely on. Report ownership and visibility settings provide additional clarity around which reports are shared and who can access them.
The goal is not to eliminate Excel or create more reports. It is to reduce the manual work required to get from the trusted data your career center has already collected to the answers your team and institutional leaders need.

Both Resume Studio and Data Studio are intended to make better use of a career center's most limited resource: staff time.
Resume Studio gives students more support between advising appointments, so advisers can focus their expertise where it adds the most value. Data Studio gives teams better access to the information already in 12twenty, so less time is spent finding, exporting, and rebuilding it elsewhere.
Fall recruiting will always be demanding. The opportunity is to make sure more of your team's time is spent supporting students, employers, and institutional priorities, and less on work that technology can make easier.
Resume Studio is available now in 12twenty. Data Studio is currently in beta with a limited group of institutions. Contact your Customer Success Manager to learn more about how to get these enabled for your school.
First, it's built directly into 12twenty rather than living in a separate system. There is no second login, no exporting a resume from one platform to use in another. Coming soon, Resume Studio will be woven into the actual application flow: when a student applies to a job posting inside 12twenty, their resume is automatically scored against that specific posting right on the page, not just evaluated in the abstract.
Yes, you can hide a section, rename it, or create new sections so it aligns with how your school operates.
Yes. You would select the “heart” icon beside the report. Saved items are personal to your account.
Yes, but only administrators can pin items. Pinning places an item first in its current folder for everyone who can see it.
Dashboards and single metric KPIs will be coming in the next phase of our Data Studio release. Stay tuned!
